IPAs are all about having the right equipment for the task at hand and this IPA is no different. If you have a hankering for a brew that has a slightly peppery characteristic,
having a medium-light body and with some complex flavours comes with some serious ingredients.
The base malt is only 60% of the whole grain recipe. This, along with the use of whole roasted heirloom, dark and Crystal malts is one of the reasons for the peppery qualitiesin this beer. Using some of the highest grades of hops such as the classic varieties will result in a bitter, herbal aroma (all hops are not created equal!), but with a taste that is pleasing to the palate.
