A traditional malty brown lager from Bavaria. Deeply toasted, bready malt flavors without any roasty or burnt flavors. Smooth and rich, with a restrained bitterness and a relatively dry finish that allows for drinking in quantity. 

Это самое солодовый стиль в категории Темный Лагер. Фирменный вкус и аромат поджаренного хлеба формирует большое количество Мюнхенского солода. В идеале, цветность этого солода должна быть в диапазоне 8-12 L. Цветность солода в 20L может дать слишком сильный интенсивный вкус, версии меньше 8 L так же не годятся.

Избегаем использование солода КараМюних, он даст слишком высокую карамельную сладость.

Дли придания насыщенного темного цвета часто добавляется немного солода Карафа Спела или Карафа Синимар со сниженной горечью.

Recipe description

Single rest at 66C for 60 min

Use sufficient amount of Lager yeast (rehydrated in advance or o proper starter).

Ferment at 10C

Cold age the beer at least for 4 weeks and allow it lagering well before bottling or drinking. Historically, both Festbier and Märzen were brewed during the winter only, to control the fermentation and cold age temperature.

Carbonate from 2.0 to 2.5 volumes of CO2
